Per state law, individual donations are limited to $1,800, and couple donations are limited to $3,600 for each election cycle. This means an individual may donate $1,800 for the Republican primary race and $1,800 for the general election for a total of $3,600. For a couple, they can donate $3,600 for the Republican primary race and $3,600 for the general election for a total of $7,200.
Contributions to the Committee to Elect Esther Helton are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. All contributions are made for the primary election otherwise noted by donor. If a contribution exceeds the limit allowed for the primary election, the Committee to Elect Esther Helton will apply any excess contribution to the general election.
