Supporting Public Education

Esther believes every public school student should have the same opportunity for success. This is why Esther has supported key legislation that raised the minimum salary for public school teachers from $38,000 to $50,000. Ensuring educators receive the compensation they deserve for their essential role in shaping future generations. She has played a crucial role in reworking the state’s funding formula for public education, which successfully brought more than $100 million to Hamilton County schools.

Understanding the importance of safety in schools, Esther has advocated for and passed legislation that modernized school safety protocols. This initiative secured funding to ensure that every public school is staffed with a School Resource Officer (SRO) and has reinforced physical security measures, creating a safer learning environment for both students and educators.
